Kypros and Kibris

As you've probably guessed (if you didn't already know), these are simply the Greek and Turkish names for Cyprus.

You also know, I'm sure, that the northern part of Cyprus is occupied by Turkey, which claims it as a republic in its own right. It's known in Turkish as Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti, which translates literally as (the) Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

It's debatable whether Kypros and Kibris are really different parts of Cyprus (as the question suggests).
